Being fully integrated into the wider firm, the VAT team contributes to colleagues across the firm in delivering a seamless service to a diverse range of clients from mid-market to large corporations, and in identifying new opportunities within the client base. You will be encouraged to strike a balance between sector specialism and general advisory, also allowing you freedom to develop new areas for the team.
As a VAT Associate Director in the central region, your responsibilities will be both client facing (as a principal point of contact for clients and key delivery colleague) and assisting with supervision and management of junior staff, (ensuring efficient work flow planning and billing) . You will be responsible for identifying and advising on VAT planning opportunities and undertaking specialist technical assignments as required and supporting the partner and director.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working at Manager or Associate Director level within VAT and have the ability to unlock fees from the existing client base and /or generate new opportunities.
You will be confident in helping to develop junior members of staff and driving forward a good team environment. This is a very collaborative environment where your personal skills and abilities will take you far, in particular the ability to build and develop a team, to communicate and influence effectively and the ability to operate independently.
As a member of the central region you may be based near any one of a number of offices such as Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Milton Keynes or Bristol.
